Corby Recycling Centre

Dear resident,

We are aware about the on-going issues we are having at the Corby Recycling Centre on Kettering Road, Weldon. 

Please be aware Section 137 of the Highways Act 1980 makes it a criminal offence to wilfully obstruct the free passage along any public highway in England and Wales without lawful authority or excuse. This encompasses any public right of way, including footpaths, roads, and pavements. This will include queuing for the Recycling Centre. If motorists commit this offence the police have a power to issue a ticket and seize the vehicle.

Can I strongly urge residents to intend to use the Recycling Centre to attend at quitter times or if it appears to be full attend another Centre or again, come back when quieter.

I also urge all residents who share the same issues and frustrations to contact North Northamptonshire Council regarding this matter.
